High End Home Decor Allmodern

We're all familiar with West Elm and its upscale take on midcentury modern furniture, but what if you want affordable styles that you won't find in every apartment?

Fortunately, there are cheaper or more varied alternatives out there for midcentury modern furniture, if you know where to look — and we've got you covered. There are a handful of tried-and-true sites that actually provide a good selection of and solid deals on midcentury modern furniture and home decor options.

To help, we've pulled together an exhaustive list of some of the best sites to buy quality and inexpensive midcentury goods to help you on your next interior design adventure.

Of course, if you're not feeling these post-war vibes, you could always choose minimalist Scandinavian pieces or go the maximalist route with some art deco decor. With so many design styles and decor trends out there, the home design options are endless.

Take a look at our guide to the best sites for mid-century modern furniture that's affordable:

Article

Article launched in 2013 and pledges to deliver most in-stock orders in two weeks or less. They have a wide selection of midcentury-inspired styles, such as a the six-drawer walnut Lena dresser.

Albany Park

Albany Park began when its married co-founders went shopping for a new couch and (rightfully) disliked the overwhelming process. The company makes just a few models of sofas, though most have midcentury silhouettes (like the West African-inspired Ekaabo sofa, pictured here) and all of them have a number of fabric options. They say that all of them ship in apartment-friendly boxes that can navigate tricky doorways and stairwells.

World Market

World Market , known for its unique and authentic furniture and home decor items, is a great place to find inexpensive yet well-made furniture.

Joybird

Joybird was founded less than a decade ago to sell custom-made furniture "inspired by the Mid-Century movement of the 1950s and 60s, from designers such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Cara Greenburg and Eero Saarinen." Prices are roughly comparable to West Elm; the Eliot sofa is pictured here in the 104-inch "grande" length.

AllModern

AllModern, if you didn't know, is part of the Wayfair family (along with Joss & Main), which explains the exceptional selection across all three sites. AllModern is particularly great for competitively priced design and decor.

Wayfair

Wayfair is famous for its deeply discounted, easily accessible and simple furniture and home goods. This mid-century bookcase looks like it came from the set of "Mad Men."

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters is known primarily for its boho-chic fashion and accessories, but it has a lesser-known foothold in the furniture and home decor space. You'll see lots of mid-century finds there, like this pretty credenza.

Anthropologie

Though a bit more expensive than other brands, Anthroplogie can't be beat when it comes to one-of-a-kind accent pieces, like this starburst coffee table that makes a statement.

Amazon

You didn't think we'd create a furniture list without including Amazon , did you? It might seem surprising, but Amazon actually has a great selection of mid-century modern furniture, especially from its furniture brand Rivet.

YLiving

YLiving is dedicated to bringing modern design to the masses through well-crafted furniture at price points people can get behind.

Apt2B

Apt 2B has a collection of ultra-unique and cute home decor and furniture items that aren't overly pricey.

Joss & Main

Joss & Main is another member of the Wayfair family (along with All Modern), and is a great site for finding inexpensive and unique finds to tie any room together.

One Kings Lane

One Kings Lane is a home decor and furniture site that was acquired by Bed Bath & Beyond in 2016, which probably explains the functional quality of most of its products. It's a little on the pricier end, but well worth it -- like this swing-arm sconce.

Target

Why is everyone obsessed with Target? Probably because you don't have to break the bank to buy expensive-looking and durable furniture items. Target brands like Project62 and Opal House have plenty of mid-century modern furniture, like this Emmond dining table.

Design Within Reach

Design Within Reach prides itself on its mission to make authentic modern design accessible. It's a bit pricier than some of the other sites in this list, but they can't be beat on authenticity and quality.

West Elm

Aficionados are probably familiar with West Elm's wooden midcentury line -- like the canopy bed pictured here -- but there are deeper cuts, too, like upholstered swivel chairs and chic tables. Frequent sales are nice, too!

OtherTimes Vintage

LexMod

Hayneedle

A La Modern

Terrain

Terrain specializes in minimalist and durable design pieces, though they are on the pricier end of things. If you're willing to dish out for high quality, this wicker and teak stool would be a bright and beautiful addition to a minimalist entry.

The White Pepper

Horchow

Ebay

Hear us out on this one. Ebay is, surprisingly, a great place to find unique and high-quality (not to mention authentic) mid-century furniture. We spotted this since-sold table, for example.
